What we collect, why, how we store it, and your rights.
Last updated: June 2026
TL;DR
- Anonymous verification is not linked to any identity and requires no signup.
- For registered accounts we store the minimum: email and verification history.
- Data is hosted on servers in Europe.
- We do not sell your data and do not run advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Anonymous verification: the claim text you paste and a technical device marker used only to enforce the one-free-verification limit. This does not identify you personally.
- Registered account: email, interface locale, your verifications, and saved feeds. Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record — we only receive subscription metadata.
- Technical logs: IP, user agent, and request time for security and troubleshooting. Retention: 30 days.
Why we collect it
- To run your verification and show you the result.
- To save your history and auto-re-verify saved feeds.
- To enforce tier limits and prevent abuse.
- To detect failures and improve the AI analysis quality.
Third parties
- Paddle — merchant of record and payment processor (for paid tiers).
- AI model providers (for claim analysis). Your claim text is sent only to generate the response; it is not used for their training.
- EU-based infrastructure provider (hosting, databases, queues).
- We do not use ad networks and do not embed behavioural trackers.
Retention
- Anonymous verifications: claim text and result are kept up to 30 days for diagnostics, then deleted.
- History for registered accounts is kept while the account exists. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.
- Technical logs — 30 days.
Your rights
- Right of access, correction, and deletion of your data (GDPR).
- Right to export your verification history in a machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent and close your account at any time.
- To exercise these rights, write to the address below.
